The Prime Minister is bidding to shore up her troubled government with a two-year legislative
programme focused on making a success of Brexit . A series of manifesto pledges blamed for costing the Tories a majority are set to be dumped, including plans to scrap the winter fuel allowance and the pension triple lock, a vote to repeal the foxhunting ban and the scrapping of free school dinners for infants. But Mrs May is embarrassingly having to put forward the plans as a minority administration after losing her Commons majority at the election - and has yet to finalise a deal with the DUP.
