Billionaire Talk show host,
author, philanthropist, actress and media personality, Oprah Winfrey recently
concluded her college graduation tour which began in May, at Stanford
University, California.
The College graduation tour
which is associated with the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in
South Africa took place in Elon University, Johnson C. Smith University,
Skidmore College, Smith College, Agnes Scott College, Oregon State University,
Colorado College and Stanford University.
Oprah announced the end of
the College tour at Stanford University in a video posted on Instagram. She was
seen standing with one of her daughter-girl Sade a Nigerian beneficiary of
OWLAG alongside her godson Will, who both graduated this year.
The tour which commenced in May 2017, provides the opportunity for Oprah
to visit schools where graduates of OWLAG completed their college education.
The “daughter-girls” as Oprah fondly refers to graduates from the
Academy, are opportune to celebrate their college graduation with “Mom-Oprah”
as they refer to the philanthropist, through the college tour.
During her commencement address at Smith College, Oprah discussed her
long career in television, as well as the secret to her success as a media
mogul. She also urged the new graduates to put themselves first as they pursued
their careers.
